Touring Adventurous Egypt

The country of Egypt has a marvelous history that throws us back to a time before electricity, running water, and even books. It's true that Egypt has given us wondrous historic gems like the pyramids, the pharaohs and their art, and colorful Nile stories, but Egypt, like the rest of the world, has also moved on. New technologies and modernization have enabled Egypt's history to be explored in greater intimacy and detail than ever before. Touring modern day Egypt is exciting, eye opening, adventuresome, and definitely unique!

You can still find this great history when touring the great country of Egypt, but today you can find beauty and adventure through specific adventure tours offered there. There are desert tours that swallow you up with the size and majesty of the endless sand. There are tours to the mountains, including treks into Mount Sinai, which the Bible records as where God gave Moses the Ten Commandments.

Other mountain tours include viewing and exploring the battle sites between Muslims and Christian crusaders. There are water tours including scuba and snorkeling in crystal clear waters to view amazing water life. You may also tour the Nile, one of the most famous rivers in the world. These tours may be by automobile, bicycle, foot, or boat, but they all share one common focus: Egypt is one of the most diverse and beautiful places on earth. Tour once and you will agree...and, you will want to return again and again.

Most Egyptian tours are classified by length and destination. Standard tours are very common and set within a certain price range. Many students and budget-minded individuals and families have gone on standard tours and returned very pleased with the value and accommodations. Standard tours usually include luxury lodging, food and drink, transportation, and a guide.

For adventure seekers and world travelers seeking the highest quality, best service, and most unique experiences, superior classed tours are also available. Usually these immerse the traveler in the Egyptian environment and provide access that cannot be gained during a standard tour.

Whichever type of Egyptian experience you choose, this country is like no other, and you will leave with memories to last a lifetime, and an experience like no other.

Egypt the Official Partner Country of ITB Asia 2010

ITB Asia has confirmed that Egypt is the official partner country for the 2010 show which will take place at Suntec Singapore between 20 - 22 October.

Egypt, which positions itself under the tagline, ?Where it all begins?, will use Egypt Night when ITB Asia opens on 20 October to showcase the best of the destination to hundreds of travel industry leaders from Asia and beyond.

Egypt, a land of ancient pyramids and magnificent heritage, attracts around 12.5 million tourists each year. It is now focusing on the Asian market.

?Messe Berlin Singapore is delighted that Egypt has chosen ITB Asia to announce its intent in the Asian travel market,? said Dr Martin Buck, Vice President of Messe Berlin. ?It is the beginning of a new relationship between Asia and Egypt. ITB Asia is proud to be at the foundation of that partnership.?

Egypt?s First Assistant Minister, Ministry of Tourism, Mr Hisham Zaazou, added, ?Asia is among the most favoured tourism markets for Egypt. We are always looking for opportunities to attract more tourists to the jewels of Egypt. It is our pleasure to participate in large scale events like ITB Asia and promote Egypt as an emerging international holiday destination.?

In the first eight months of 2010, international visitor arrivals to Egypt increased at a rate of 18.7% compared to same period last year.

This year Egypt will focus on promoting Luxor City, known as ?the world?s greatest open air museum? which has remarkable ruins and temple complexes at Karnak and Luxor. Luxury River Nile cruises on the MS Darakum are also being promoted as a serene new way to take in the ancient historic sites along the River Nile.

The Chairman of the Egyptian Tourism Authority, Mr Amr El Ezaby, said, ?We are honoured to be the official partner country for a premier event like ITB Asia 2010. Asia is one of the biggest markets for us. An event of this scale allows us to showcase Egypt and its attractions to a larger audience.?
