Travelex, Bank of China and MasterCard Launch Cash Passport
Travelex, a leading foreign exchange specialist, has officially launched an innovative electronic traveler?s cheque named ?Cash Passport MasterCard?, in collaboration with the Bank of China (BOC) and MasterCard.This is the first e-traveler?s cheque with MasterCard logo jointly launched by the three parties in mainland China.The newly introduced ?Cash Passport MasterCard? is designed to meet the consumption demands of the Chinese during their vacations and study trips abroad.Cash Passport MasterCard is available in three foreign currencies, including USD, Euro and GBP. By topping up the e-traveler?s cheques in advance, users are able to use them at more than 30 million MasterCard acceptance locations including over 1 million ATMs with MasterCard logo for local currency withdrawals overseas.China has witnessed a boom in the outbound tourism market in recent years. According to official statistics, the number of outbound travelers in 2010 is expected to reach 53 million annually, including Chinese students going abroad for their education.?MasterCard?s latest travel survey demonstrates that almost half of the Chinese households with annual income of USD30,000 and above planned to spend on international personal air travel in second half of this year. Jeju Air to launch Seoul - Hong Kong Flights
Korea?s Jeju Air is to launch flights between Seoul and Hong Kong on 27 October 2010.To celebrate the launch, the low cost airline is offering an inaugural round-trip fare from HK$900++ (exclusive of tax and fuel surcharges).Jeju Air will fly between Hong Kong and Incheon 3 days weekly, on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, deploying a Boeing 737-800 aircraft, with 160 economy class seats.Flight 7C2110 departs Hong Kong at 13:55 and arrives at Seoul at 18:15; the return flight 7C2109 departs Seoul at 10:05 and returns Hong Kong at 12:55.Jeju Air is an airline based in Jeju City, Jeju-do, South Korea. In 2005, Jeju Air was established as a joint venture between Aekyung Group and the Jeju Special Self Governing Province.Its domestic connections consist of the Gimpo-Jeju and Busan-Jeju routes. Internationally, it also flies from Incheon to Nagoya, Osaka and Kitakyushu in Japan, as well as Bangkok in Thailand.

SIA Cargo to Launch Services to Tokyo via Bangkok and Taipei
SIA Cargo is to launch new freighter services to Tokyo Narita via Bangkok and Taipei to offer freight forwarders and exporters greater convenience in shipping their cargo.SIA Cargo will operate two new freighter services a week between Singapore and Tokyo via Taipei from 19 October 2010, continuing into the peak year-end season.A third weekly freighter service via Taipei to Narita will start on 6 November 2010.SIA Cargo will also mount new direct freighter services from Bangkok to Tokyo Narita with effect from 3 November 2010. The twice-weekly services will operate every Wednesday and Friday.SIA Cargo?s parent company, Singapore Airlines, will also be operating new twice-daily passenger services between Singapore and Tokyo Haneda airport from 31 October 2010, complementing the existing twice-daily passenger services to Tokyo Narita.Singapore, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Japan are major trading partners and these additional freighter services will enhance the movement of manufactured goods, electronic devices, food products, machinery and computers between these markets.?We are pleased to mount new freighter services between these four cities in response to demand for capacity and we look forward to the support of our customers,? said Mr Tan Tiow Kor, Senior Vice President Sales and Marketing.

Manchester United and Turkish Airlines Launch New Advertising Commercial
Manchester United recently signed a new three and half year deal with Turkish Airlines for a state of the art TV ad which unveils the airline?s new business class concept.Starring famous players including Edwin van Der Sar, Wayne Rooney and Patrice Evra, the commercial depicts the luxury and comfort enjoyed by Turkish Airlines passengers and the surprise ending involves an appearance by Manchester United legend and global football icon Sir Bobby Charlton.Directed by Marco Grandia the commercial, aptly dubbed ?Football on Air?, was filmed in the ?Manchester Studio? at Media City?s Pie Factory.The shoot involved building a full sized passenger jet and the production crew spent a further three weeks preparing for the shoot which took two days to film. The talents of more than 115 people were involved in creating the ad which will air in 80 countries around the world. Demonstrating the playing wizardry of the United team mates the ad demonstrates the brand synergy between Manchester United and their global travel partner.Sir Bobby was delighted to get involved on the day, and said, "For me Manchester United will always be the greatest football club in the world. The partnership with Turkish Airlines brings fans all around the world closer to the Club which is fantastic news."Manchester United Commercial Director, Richard Arnold, added, ?Turkish Airlines are the perfect airline partner for Manchester United. Tiger Airways to Launch Double Daily Flights to Jakarta
Tiger Airways is to launch a second daily flight on its popular Jakarta-Singapore route, with flights beginning from 11 January 2011.Tiger Airways announced in July that it had won additional rights to operate a second daily service to Jakarta in the distribution of limited traffic rights by Singapore?s Air Traffic Rights Committee (ATRC). This decision was appealed by a competitor airline but the original decision to award the rights to Tiger Airways has now been upheld.Rosalynn Tay, Managing Director of Tiger Airways Singapore, said, ?We are looking forward to serving twice the number of passengers on our popular Jakarta-Singapore route. With twice the number of flights, we will be even better placed to bring down fares for tourists and business travellers flying between these two important ASEAN capitals.?The additional flights are now on sale from as low as Sin$20 plus taxes, for travel between 11 January and 30 September 2011. Royal Brunei Airlines to Launch Flights to Melbourne
The city of Melbourne in Australia will be part of the Royal Brunei Airlines network from 29 March 2011.A four-time weekly service will be introduced in which Royal Brunei Airlines will depart Bandar Seri Begawan to Melbourne on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.With the addition of Melbourne, Royal Brunei will fly 14 times weekly to three cities in Australia.Royal Brunei Airlines Executive Vice President of Commercial & Planning, Riaz Moiz, said, ?With the launch of the Melbourne flights, Royal Brunei Airlines will be able to meet demand for seats to Melbourne from across our Asian and UK networks, while also expanding our presence in Australia.
